[If My Heart Was A House] A 2x1 unfurnished house

I was asked a while back on my Tumblr if I could share any of my houses, and since I finally figured out how to package lots, here it is! The lot is 2x1 squares big, comes unfurnished and consists of two floors plus a small attic. This is the first time I share a lot so I apologise beforehand if I messed anything up. Enjoy!

EDIT: Might or might not require Apartment Life, I will look into this asap.

EDIT 2: New download link, I'm still not sure if it works correct so feedback would be appreciated. There's one completely without CC and one that I've tried to remove some of the CC that I think doesn't need to be included. I've never done this before and I apologise for the inconvenience it may have caused. Hopefully it works this time around.

Eeep, I knew I missed something; I have all EPs plus the H&M stuff pack. I'm not sure how it works but I'm guessing that means Apartment Life is required?

It means that all of them are required. Every EP you have installed is required, not just the last one. Each EP changes the way lots and neighbourhoods are saved.

You also need to clean up the Sims2Pack for this lot. You have packaged every single recolour of every single item you used on the lot. This means that you have included a bajillion mailbox and stair recolours plus masses of other item recolours which are absolutely unnecessary for this lot and should have been taken out using Clean Installer before you offered the lot for download.

Also included are either portal revealers (ie. a couple of hacks) or you have portal revealers and they have caused the portals have been packaged separately (with the lot - they show up red, like hacks, in Clean Installer). You may want to repackage the lot while those hacks are not in your Downloads folder so that they don't package with the lot.

Sorry if I come across as overbearing or rude. I don't mean to be. You mentioned that this was your first time packaging a lot and there are a few things that you might want to fix up about the download so I'm just trying to help. It's a lovely house and I am in no way criticising it. Unfortunately a lot of unnecessary recolours packaged with the lot, bloating the filesize and in some cases breaking people's mailboxes due to the included mailbox recolours. You can clean up the package or you can tell people to clean it up themselves using CI. The only thing you actually really NEED to do is tell people that they need all EPs for this lot if installing using CI, and all EPs + H&M if installing using the Maxis installer.

I like this house a lot. Boyfriend approves too, haha.

I believe that the way houses work is that even though you didn't use any objects from any EP the house will still need any and all EPs currently installed when the house was built, unless you used AnyGame Starter to limit the number of your EPs. Any attempt to install the house by people who are missing EPs will lead to crashing. Missing SPs will only lead to that SP's objects to be replaced with something else.
This has probably been asked and answered at Quick Questions at GoS, so you could try a quick search there to be sure.

Beautiful house! But I had some problems.
I extracted the house and it doesn't show up in the houses bin. I tried extracting several times using Clean Installer, unsuccesfully. And also I looked for the climbing plants and they show up blue, with no texture.

Try to re-download it from one of the new links and see if that works. If not I'll look into finding another solution to this problem. Thank you for letting me know, and I'll check the climbing plants next time I'm in-game and see if I can find a link to the meshes.

I counted the objects included in the file and there are more than 600. I'm pretty sure an unfurnished house cannot have so much items. Also, there are a lot of files that are not clearly named and have strange file extensions like ".package.package.package.package.package". I had problems with the mailboxes, and found that a lot of those files are mailboxes recolors. I cannot delete the mailbox in the catalog in game because it says that the object is in use. There were also a lot of recolors that were not in the house but they were included. I don't know anything about packaging houses with Clean Installer, but I'm almost sure this is not how it is supposed to work. Sorry for making such a long post, I needed to tell you and I hope you can fix it.

About the climbing plants with no texture, they are all probably slaved to another plant that was not included in the file.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience! I've never packaged a lot before so right now I'm going through what may have caused this and I hope it will be resolved soon.

I'll take a look at them next time I'm in-game and see if that's the case.

Thanks for the link, I did as the tutorial instructed and hope it works this time. I'm not quite sure how that works with the meshes and recolours that is actually used in the lot though. If I understood it right that means the only file included is the house itself?

Sorry, thought the tutorial had a little more info. When you get to clean installer. Just go through the list of CC that shows up and check anything that you WANT to include in the download. The major problem is that when the game packages the lot it adds in extra CC, or sometimes your whole downloads folder.

Alright, I uploaded two different versions, one without any CC and one that I tried to sort out most of the CC I'm quite sure isn't needed for this lot. Thank you for the help!

Hello! I want to start by saying that I really love your work. You're one of my favorite cc, sims, houses creator.
Anyways, I have a problem with this gorgeous house that you created/shared.
When I download the "with cc" part, the new one and the old one, they are not showing up in my game.
When i download the "without cc" part, and install it, of course, the place shows up in my game.
WHY?I really want the "with cc" part, and i practically don't know what to do. Any advice?
